Wilkes Barre Racing has linked up with Sundance Vacations to provide a free 8 day/7 night stay at any Sundance Vacation home in the U.S. or Caribbean. They have in-state properties and plenty within driving distance. We are also looking for sponsors to pay their travel expenses.
To win the prize we are asking foster/adopted families to do two things:
1) have a child write a letter to us stating what it would mean to them to go on a vacation with their new adopted or foster family
2) participate in the Harold's Pharmacy Walk for Home on Friday night, September 2, 2011.
Entries will be accepted from anywhere in NEPA or surrounding areas.
The letter will be published in the newspapers in order that we may open more hearts to the world of foster care and adoption.
All the details are attached. NOTE: will be giving out many, many more prizes and trips on Friday night, so get those letters coming in. The Harold's Pharmacy walk is only 1 mile and it is non-competitive. There will be a huge party at the finish line (walkers will finish during the Wendy's Wonderful Kids Half Marathon pre-race expo and at the same time as we award $2000 in prize money to the "Valleys Fastest Man".
